As we carry out a research project for a client from the fintech industry, we are looking to expand our team with a Backend Developer who is skilled in Python, GCP, SQL, and Vertex AI.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to create robust, scalable back-end solutions for financial data processing.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and services using Python on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement databases and ensure efficient SQL queries for high-volume data manipulation.
- Utilize Google's Vertex AI to deploy machine learning models developed by Data Scientists.
- Ensure high-quality code, security, and data protection in all backend processes.
- Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the development and production environments.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Backend Developer.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with cloud services, preferably GCP.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for database management and data manipulation.
- Experience with Google's Vertex AI or similar platforms for deploying ML models.
- Familiarity with the construction and maintenance of data pipelines.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate back-end services with front-end applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a good level of English proficiency.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in the fintech industry.
- Experience with other cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
